Mrs. Springer-Crenshaw holds a BA (Cum Laude) in Criminal Justice from Monroe University. She is a NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor 2–Counselor (CASAC-2) and is an IC&RC Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. This designation validates her expertise across 44+ U.S. states, the District of Columbia, U.S. territories, and military branches, ensuring high-standard care and seamless professional portability.
Vanessa brings over 24 years of experience in the field of recovery from addiction (substance use disorder) and co-occurring mental health disorders. Driven by a passion for safety and sustainable recovery, Mrs. Springer-Crenshaw obtained clearance as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) under the US Department of Transportation. Beyond fulfilling standard return-to-duty requirements, her goal is to revolutionize the SAP process by addressing the underlying causes of substance misuse. By providing comprehensive education and support to the families of safety-sensitive employees, she aims to reduce recidivism while strengthening the security and stability of their loved ones.
